The court has recently installed a new filing system and doubled its budget for public defenders. In addition, the construction of a new 65,000-square-foot facility at the corner of 23rd Avenue and 15th Street in downtown has begun. The Mayor’s Office plans to relocate the city's police department headquarters, municipal court and other services to the new building, which will be named the Robert J. Curry Public Safety Center.
